Why Being Disabled Makes No Difference When Choosing to Join SFI

With modern technology it also opens many doors for disabled people. A blind person can do this - if they have a computer that is manufactured or adjusted to cater for them. I am not an expert in this technology, but from what I understand the key board has braille on it and text is translated to audio Deaf people can use the computer like you and me - it is just with things like videos that they need text or sign language. People in Wheelchairs, bedridden persons, any person with a disability can make a success with SFI if they have the correct equipment and the same attitude all of us need to succeed with SFI. The only disability I can imagine will prevent a person from working in SFI would be a person with severe brain injuries. I know several individuals with disabilities that I admire and respect because they refuse to let their disability stop them from doing what they want to do. They actually put me to shame - I can not say how I will react in their shoes - but if I had half the drive they have I will be proud of myself. I think if a disabled person signs up they have the equipment they need - your role is to help them. It won't hurt if you ask them how they function and to find out how you can help them to succeed. In many cases they won't need you to adjust the way you do things.
